Youth Facilitators

The Youth Facilitators are a cadre of young people between the ages of 10-24 train to lead Belize's advocacy movement  for young people to ensure that preventing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) is a government priority, and to enable young people to live healthy lifestyles.

They have been trained by qualified experts who prepared them to have the skills to facilitate sessions with their peers. 

Those trained in physical fitness will be able to share on principles of fitness, conduct baseline assessments and training for a life of fitness. Those trained in nutrition will undertansd how ro share knowledge on portion control, healthy eating and undertanding dietary needs.

The mental health theme understand the key principles and wellness tips on mindfulnes and how to conduct check-ins with peers.
